Window Replacement and Repair
We provide windscreen repair and replacement for all car makes and models, including vintage and imported vehicles.
We first determine whether a repair or replacement is required, which depends on the damage to the vehicle. We can repair chips when they are smaller than a 5-cent piece in the central vision area.
To repair chips, we inject a clear resin to fill the space made by the chip. This gives it structural integrity and prevents it from cracking further.
We then cure the resin using ultraviolet light, which strengthens the bond and stops the crack from breaking further. This method only works on layered glass, such as the glass found in windshields. The chip will still be slightly visible, but safe from further damage.
Here is how we replace windows in cars:
- First, we remove the trim around both the inside and outside perimeter of the windscreen. We also remove the rear-view mirror.
- We then cut the sealant on the perimeter of the windscreen.
- The damaged windscreen is then lifted out using industrial-strength suction cups with handles.
- We clean the old sealant before replacing it, then lower the new windscreen into place.
- We refit the trim and secure the windscreen temporarily with tape while the sealant cures.

The procedure of side window replacement takes mechanical skills as well as glazing skills, as the car door parts need to be disassembled and reassembled properly during the process to avoid damage to the vehicle.
